Skiáthos is considered the most cosmopolitan island in the Northern Sporades. It might only be 46 square kilometers, but it has some of the best beaches of the Greek islands, a large variety of taverns, restaurants, bars and places to relax and the furthermore it is absolutely gorgeous, truly a heavenly place on earth, with lush pine forests and crystal-clear Caribbean like waters.
Even though Skiathos is a small island, the growth in tourism in recent years has not affected the scenery much.
